A Birmingham icon since 1973

Ted’s Restaurant has been a Southside Birmingham favorite for just about, well… forever. With the original “Ted’s Cafeteria Restaurant” sign still intact, and the clock frozen in time at 3:22 (and 11:03), the restaurant beckons us to a time of meat ‘n’ three goodness. We bought the restaurant from Mr. Ted & Mrs. Litsa in 2000 and are working to continue serving fresh Southern favorites, with exceptional customer service, to a loyal lunchtime crowd. We have recently remodeled Ted’s interior with fresh paint, quality woodwork, and new lighting in order to update and preserve our little piece of Birmingham history. When you visit us for lunch or breakfast, you become part of the Ted’s family. We hope to see you soon.

If you’re up early, and a hearty breakfast of pancakes, omelets, or french toast is what you’re hungry for, check out our very popular Breakfast menu. Ms. Dee’s grits are the perfect way to start your busy day! You can also stop in and order a quick biscuit or sandwich if you are in a rush.

We have made online ordering easy! Our daily lunch menu — and all of our catering menus, as well — are available on our ordering system. All you have to do is set up an account and place your first order.

Catering

We have been in the food industry for years. With our experience with Ted’s Restaurant and country club management experience, we’ve pretty much handled it all. Ted’s home cooking is brought to you, and no event is too small or large. Our catering menu is just the beginning—we can also create a completely customized menu to fit your event and tastebuds.
